Below is everything you need to know before your Drumheller Pedal Tour kicks off- including check-in details, what to bring, and what to expect. Let’s make it a smooth (and epic) ride!
Check-In Time And Location
Please arrive to our location 30 minutes prior to your start time to ensure that we can check you in, verify waivers, purchase any beverages you may need, go over the rules, and get loaded up to start your party on time. Grab a bite to eat before takeoff at Vintage Taphouse, conveniently located right next to our storefront!
Address:
30 Railway Ave W, Drumheller, AB T0J 0Y0 (Unit B)
Parking is available directly in front of store as well in the Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot.
Reservations are for the time slot booked. If we have a booking directly after yours, parties that get started late will still finish at the stated end time.
Tours will start and end at the time specified. We cannot wait for stragglers as it is unfair to everyone who showed up on time, and the ticket price will not be refunded. If you're on a pub crawl we will attempt to have you meet us at the first bar stop instead if you are running late.
For Safety reasons, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEIGH NO MORE THAN 250LBS, as exceeding this limit may result in equipment damage or injury!
Helmets are not required, but are recommended. If you choose to wear one, please bring your own.
Alcohol Policy
We are fully licensed under AGLC, which means you can drink on board – but there are important rules to follow:
- Only alcohol purchased from our on-site liquor store is allowed.
- No outside alcohol may be brought onto the premises or trolley. We’ve got you covered with a selection of beer and seltzers at our on-site liquor store and don't worry about ice or coolers! We will have that all ready and taken care of for you so that your experience is super easy.
- Do not open your drinks until you’re on the trolley, and do not exit the bike with an open container - this violates public consumption laws.
- If you arrive already intoxicated, you will be refused service without a refund. Please drink responsibly and pace yourself along the way!
Policy Enforcement
The Party Bike Captain for your reservation is in charge at all times and will enforce these policies. It is also the responsibility of the person who booked the party to help the captain in hosting the group in order to maintain a fun and safe experience.
Participant Waivers (MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE ARRIVAL)
If you've booked for multiple people, please forward the waiver email to everyone in your group and have them fill out the online liability waiver ahead of time. Doing so will expedite the check-in process, prevent delays, and ensure we get going on time!
THESE WAIVERS MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL OR YOUR START TIME MAY BE DELAYED!
Please have your ID on hand to show to your party bike captain during the check-in process to verify your waiver and expedite check-in.
A maximum of 14 guests are allowed on the bike. All guests must be always seated.
Payments
Private group parties and individual seat reservations are charged the full price upon booking.
All liquor sales are final and non-refundable. No returns are accepted and you are not allowed to take any left over alcohol with you as this violates our AGLC license.
For refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling, please see our cancellations and refunds policy, which you agree to when making a reservation with Drumheller Pedal Tours.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
You may call or email us to cancel your reservation up to 14 days before your reservation date and receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 14 days of your reservation will not be refunded, and no rescheduling is permitted within 7 days of the reservation. Any payments made will be forfeited if you cancel within 14 days of the reservation date.
All in-person purchases at our store are final at the time of check-out. NO refunds or exchanges will be provided.
If you are making a cancellation or rescheduling request, please send us an email or contact us directly.
Weather Policy
We ride rain or shine, but for safety we cancel if there is lightning or other severe weather.
Don't worry -- you won't be pedaling around in a thunderstorm! If we have to cancel the tour based on severe weather conditions, you will receive a 100% refund or rain check for another date.
Weather cancellations are not made until right before your tour's scheduled start time, as weather can be unpredictable.
For light rain and showers, while the cart is in motion, we will provide ponchos for your group.
Inappropriate Behaviour Termination
Inappropriate behaviour by participants will result in termination of the party for the entire group. Your party bike captain has sole discretion on terminating a party for misbehaviour.
Groups who have their party terminated for any reason will not receive a refund and will incur a $100 early termination penalty fee.
These include, but are not necessarily limited to
- Being physically or verbally abusive or disrespectful to your party captain.
- Excessive intoxication - do not show up under the influence of any alcohol or drugs or you will be denied service without a refund.
- Do not become excessively intoxicated along the way or you will be removed. Pace yourself!
- Removing open containers of alcohol from the bike onto the street.
- Bringing alcohol off-premises from the bar stops.
- Providing alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 or on the street.
- Bringing glass or hard liquor on board in violation of local ordinances.
- Jumping off the vehicle while it is in motion or in traffic.
- Standing or hanging on the bike (you must stay seated at all times while the bike is in motion) as well as pushing the bike when it is parked.
- Vomiting or urinating on the bike and/or street.
- Using vulgar language at pedestrians, the police, or other drivers.
- Any other inappropriate behaviour or violation of local, province and federal laws.
Other helpful tips:
- Dress Appropriately: Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Avoid long or loose items that could get caught in the pedals.
- Empty Your Pockets: Please remove all items from your pockets before the tour - phones, keys, wallets, and sunglasses can fall out while pedalling!
- Hydrate and Snack Ahead: Drink water and eat before your ride - alcohol on an empty stomach is never a good idea!
- Pack Light: There's limited space onboard, leave large purses and backpacks at home.
- Keep Track of Time: Be aware of your tour stops and timeframes - tours run on a schedule. Our guides will let you know when to be back at the trolley - but they are not babysitters. If you are not back in time, we ride without you! (And you guessed it, no refunds)
Remember---Your party bike captain is in charge! We are all here to have a good time, but use common sense, follow the rules and always tip your driver and bartender!
Thank you for reading through our rules and policies, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Cheers,
The Drumheller Pedal Tours Team
