Before You Ride: Drumheller Pedal Tours Checklist
1. Complete Your Waivers & Bring ID (Before Arrival)
-
Online Waivers: If you booked for a group, forward the waiver email to everyone so they can fill it out ahead of time. Uncompleted waivers will delay your start time.
-
ID: Bring a valid ID to verify your waiver during check-in.
2. Check-In & Location
-
Arrival Time: Arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.
-
Address: 30 Railway Ave W, Drumheller, AB T0J 0Y0 (Unit B). Park directly in front of the store or in the Shoppers Drug Mart lot.
-
Tardiness: Tours start and end strictly on schedule. Stragglers will be left behind without a refund (though we will try to help pub-crawlers meet us at the first bar stop).
-
Weight Limit: For safety reasons, all participants must weigh no more than 250 lbs.
-
Helmets: Optional; bring your own if you choose to wear one.
3. Alcohol Policy (AGLC Regulated)
-
On-Site Purchases Only: Only alcohol purchased from our on-site liquor store is allowed on the trolley. No outside alcohol is permitted. We provide the selection, ice, and coolers.
-
Container Rules: Do not open drinks until you are on the trolley, and never exit the bike with an open container (public consumption laws apply). No glass or hard liquor.
-
No Take-Home Alcohol: Per AGLC rules, liquor sales are final, and you cannot take leftover alcohol with you.
-
Sobriety: Anyone arriving under the influence or excessively intoxicated will be refused service or removed without a refund.
4. Weather & Cancellations
-
Rain or Shine: We ride through light rain (free ponchos provided).
-
Severe Weather: Tours are only cancelled for lightning or severe weather right before start time. Cancellations by us result in a full refund or rain check.
-
Your Cancellations: Refunds (minus $20 processing fee) are available up to 14 days before your date. Rescheduling is allowed 8–14 days in advance. No changes or refunds within 7 days.
5. Safety & Conduct Rules
-
Stay Seated: Maximum 14 guests. You must remain seated at all times while the bike is moving.
-
Captain's Authority: The Party Bike Captain is in charge at all times. Inappropriate behavior (abuse, public drinking violations, jumping off, vomiting/urinating, harassment, or supplying minors) results in immediate termination of the party for the entire group without a refund, plus a $100 early termination penalty fee.
6. Quick Tips for Riders
-
Dress Code: Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes (avoid long, loose items that get caught in pedals).
-
Pockets: Empty your pockets before riding so phones, keys, and wallets don't fall out.
-
Pack Light: Leave large purses and backpacks at home.
-
Fuel Up: Eat and hydrate beforehand.
-
Tipping: 100% of tips go directly to your driver and bartender and are always appreciated!
Thank you for reading through our rules and policies, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Cheers,
The Drumheller Pedal Tours Team
